Pico Ruivo
Madeira's highest point offers insane views of the island's beautiful mountains and rocky volcanic landscape.
The Hike
The Pico Arieiro to Pico Ruivo hike is one of the most popular hiking trails in Madeira and also one of the most physically demanding. You start from Pico do Ariero and hike almost 12 km to Pico Ruivo.
Fanal
The Laurissilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since December 1999, is one of Madeira's most sacred and protected natural treasures.
The Hike
Take a steep path up to the Fanal Forest from Seixal to experience this marvellous place! On the plateau, you'll step between the fog and the trees looking like something from a fantasy film.
25 Fontes
This is Madeira's most popular waterfall - the Lagoa das 25 Fontes is being filled by 25 water springs and can be reached via the Levada of the same name.
The Hike
Situated in the heart of the dense jungle that surrounds Rabacal, the Levada das 25 Fontes has earned its reputation as Madeira’s best Levada walk.
